Okeoghene Odudu is a Lecturer in Competition law at King's College London, where he teaches US Antitrust, EC State Aid and State Regulation Law, EC and UK Competition Law, and EU Law. Odudu read law as an undergraduate at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and received an MA in Criminology from Keele University. He was a graduate student at Keble College, Oxford, where he competed a DPhil. He was awarded a Kennedy Scholarship and spent a year at Harvard conducting research in US antitrust. After being awarded a DPhil in law from Oxford University Odudu was elected Fellow in law at Downing College, Cambridge where he taught EU and Administrative law.

While the illustrations and idea of this book are wonderful, it disappointed me. I think this whole book is 2 sentences spread over all the pages. My 4 yr old son was bored. I think 4 yr olds are the ones who can start understanding the "tough guys have feelings" idea but when the book has 3 words on each page, it doesn't deliver and misses the opportunity. Bummer.

This book is fantastic! It doesn’t only break down the stereotypes of guys being tough and not having emotions, it also opens up some dialog. My kids noticed all kinds of things in the background (like why each guy was sad) and we spent a good thirty minutes reading though this book the first time. I am very pleased with this addition to our library, and I plan to gift it to several friends!

Overpriced waste if money no story one line per page doesn't explain feelings like in the title total RIP off

Love this book! We received it from a friend for our son and now will be buying it for every little boy we know 🙂Edit: the last 2 copies I have purchased have had finger prints and dirty sticky stuff on the covers. Since they were gifts, this was pretty disappointing.

Loved the quality of the book, but extremely disappointed that all the superheroes featured in the book are all sad and the story never comes full circle. Wanted to give this to my nephew, but am too afraid it will not get the empowering message across, because he would just fixate on the pictures of just sad men. Really wish that is book would have included all feelings. Had to return this book!

The American Civil War is not only an interesting and fascinating topic to study, but also a difficult one to get into. While many of us probably heard a little bit about the Civil War during highschool history classes through textbooks, we likely only remember that the Union won, the Confederacy lost and that slavery was abolished; that's the most important part teachers tell us, right?However, the American War is a great book for any historians or Civil War buffs to learn the very base of the Civil War. Most books regarding the Civil War are too thick, too difficult and too boring for starters. The American War does not only read easily, but contains a wealth of information explained in a simple manner for ordinary people to understand. I would recommend this book to anybody who wants to learn the basics of Civil War.For college level students or adults who want to enter the realm of Civil War history, this will be a great base for their further studies.

Very well written book on the American Civil War that not only presents the war itself but gives an in-depth look at the people, rich and poor, black and white, men and women, free and slave, American and Immigrant, and so on. It is different because it is written in such a way that I can use it even in the high schools. Brilliant collaboration and I look forward to the possibility of future works.

This is one boring book. It is difficult to make the ACW dry but the authors have succeeded.

A useful one-volume survey of the Civil War and Reconstruction. Like all such abbreviated efforts it leads a reader to desire further, more in depth, accounts of the various aspects of this momentous time in American history. In this regard, a good guide to further reading is supplied at the back of this book.This book seems aimed at the college-level reader who requires the basics. In this it does a good job.Some quarrels of mine with the text: A) I do not share the authors interpretation that the Confederacy constituted a "nation." Nor did President Lincoln at the time. B) I think the space devoted to the few females who served as soldiers, in homage to modern gender analyses, might have been better spent on John Brown, whose raid help trigger the conflagration. C) President Lincoln, who was the central figure of the war, appears here somewhat fleetingly and distant.In terms of of the book's layout, I dislike what seems to be a trend in publishing to place the authors name(s) at the top of every or every other page.
