Great information in this little book! I wish I had known about this years ago!

A book that changed my life! I used to have herpes on my lips since I was 8 y.o. It was my nightmare for 17 years!!!Thanks to my boyfriend, who made this book the whole discovery for me and insisted in buying the book and trying the method, I managed to change my life for GOOD!!! For almoast a year I keep the immune boosting diet (lots lots lots of vegetables and fruits, juices, some meat and fish, NO SUGAR-only honey when needed, only Coconut and Olive oils for cooking and salads, NO SODAS) and use my DMSO 3 days a month treatments (order on amazon.com) + everyday water consuption with Oxygen Force drops (order from official website) and there`s a notice of a huge progress! First I had a few outbreaks, when just started the program, but once in 2-3 months instead of monthly, and so far for half a year I`ve been entirely healthy, without annoying herpes ruining my life :) So happy!!!!! About the Author
Kay Kaufman Shelemay (Ph.D., University of Michigan) is G. Gordon Watts Professor of Music at Harvard University and has taught at Columbia, NYU, and Wesleyan. A Fellow of the American Academy of the Arts and Sciences and the American Philosophical Society, she is a Past President of the Society for Ethnomusicology. She has received fellowships from numerous institutions, including the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Shelemay’s research interests include musical ethnography, music and memory, and Ethiopian music and musicians in their North American diaspora. She is the author of nine books and editions, including Music, Ritual, and Falasha History, which won the ASCAP-Deems Taylor Award and the Prize of the International Musicological Society. An outstanding teacher, Shelemay received an Award for Distinguished Teaching from the Columbia University School of General Studies in 1982, the Joseph R. Levenson Memorial Teaching Prize and the Phi Beta Kappa Teaching Prize at Harvard in 2006, and, in 2014, the Everett Mendelsohn Excellence in Mentoring Award at Harvard. In 2014, Shelemay was elected an Associate Fellow of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences.

They skip too many steps. The way they explain things are very unintuitive and lacks clarity. It is like the authors assume you already know how to do this stuff and are just refreshing your memory. I have no idea why my physics professor would choose this horrible book for students learning this stuff for the first time.

Looks like it was done via OCR and there was no editing. It's not usable in its current Kindle format.

Product was in excellent condition as described. Price can't be beat. Other students paid three times as much for the paperback edition with just the first section. I got three semesters' textbook for a third of the price others paid for one semester's book. I enjoy very much that the book has been rebound.

The book is very helpful and has sections in each chapter that lists and reviews the relevant formulas for that chapter. The book was a little more worn down than I expected; but, nonetheless, it was a great price for what I needed! Also, I did not know this when I rented it but this book contains VOLUME 1 AND 2 in it (i rented volume 2 before receiving this book and realizing it had both already in it).

Book of a good quality. Not to hard to read, if you know physics.

The book is okay. It doesn't break down the topics enough, and the end of the chapter problems really require you to make a leap in intuition to be able to solve the harder problems.

It is a very big text book, but the best thing is it comes with a disc that has the book on it. It does have some extra examples but like the study guide, really doesn't help much.Another good thing is that the text is usable over the physics requisite!

I purchased this textbook for my college level Calculus based Physics course. I was initially excited and looking forward to diving into this textbook. When I reviewed a few pages, I felt like I was so lost. It is a difficult read that's for sure. I recommend a study guide from Barron's to assist with this textbook!

About the Author

Dr. William S. Levine received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from M.I.T. He then joined the faculty of the University of Maryland, College Park where he is currently Research Professor of ECE. Throughout his career, he has specialized in the design and analysis of control systems and related problems in estimation, filtering, and system modeling. Motivated by the desire to understand a collection of interesting controller designs, he has done a great deal of research on mammalian control of movement in collaboration with several neurophysiologists.

Dr. Levine is co-author of Using MATLAB to Analyze and Design Control Systems (1992, second edition, 1995) and editor of The Control Handbook (published by CRC Press in cooperation with IEEE Press), and of a series on control engineering for Birkhauser. He is also co-editor of The Handbook of Networked and Embedded Control Systems (published by Birkhauser, 2005). He has been president of the IEEE Control Systems Society and the American Cntrol Council. He is presently the Chairman of the SIAM special interest group Control Theory and its Applications.

Dr. Levine is a Fellow of the IEEE, a Distinguished Member of the IEEE Control Systems Society, and a recipient of the IEEE Third Millennium Medal. He and his collaborators received the Schroers Award for outstanding rotorcraft research in 1998. He and another group of collaborators received the award for outstanding paper in the IEEE Transactions on Auotomatic Control for "Discrete Time Point Processes in Urban Traffic Queue Estimation"
